The Last Of Us Teaser Spotted In Uncharted 3

Regular readers of the site will be aware of the build-up to Sony's new PlayStation 3 exclusive, The Last Of Us. If you're not up to date, you can read our big blow-out piece on the impending announcement through here.

Sony has been gradually drip-feeding information about the game all week, going as far as to add a screenshot of the mysterious new title on the background of the PlayStation Blog. But now eagle-eyed gamers have spotted what looks to be a reference to the game in Uncharted 3.

A video taken from the opening scene of Drake's Deception shows protagonist Nathan Drake inspecting a newspaper, which has a headline claiming “scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus”. This is presumably the same fungus that has been associated with The Last Of Us.

We've checked, and this is not an elaborate hoax. The newspaper really is in the game, and it's been there since day one too. It's too much of a coincidence to not be connected. Hype levels building, huh?
