AT&T announced at CES today that it will offer two data plans tor 3G PS Vita owners in the United States. For $14.99, users will recieve 250MB of monthly data , while $25 (not $24.99, oddly) will net you a 2GB monthly limit. Best of all, there's no contract.
The wireless carrier also announced that users will receive a free game for signing up. Just activate your system and you'll be able to choose one free download from a yet-to-be-revelaed selection of PS Store games.
Just make sure you switch over to WiFi before downloading your free gift. Who knows how much those overage fees will be.

No thanks, I'll just stick with the WiFi model.
Not bad, not bad at all. Unfortunately, I have no use for 3G, so I'll stick to the Wifi model for now.
No surprises here. This is what AT&T's website has said all along.
Actually Magi, though AT&T has offered similar plans on other devices, this is the first confirmation of them coming contract-free to PS Vita.
I hope it supports Bluetooth tethering as I already have an unlimited data plan from Verizon I'd like to use
The wifi seems to be the model to go with imo. 2gb a month seems a bit low for a gaming device... I use over 9gb/mo on my smart phone alone steaming Netflix and Google Music.
