Your fondness for decapitations can continue on the move, as Mortal Kombat is due to land on PS Vita in Spring 2012.
Following up on 2011's successful PS3 entry, the Vita version maintains its HD cousin's X-ray moves, 2D fighting and lengthy story mode, with Warner Bros. promising Vita-exclusive features that we'll hear more about in the coming months.
With Street Fighter X Tekken on the way it looks like Vita's heading for a fighting face-off in early 2012.

In a triumphant return to the game’s original mature presentation, Mortal Kombat offers over-the-top fatalities and wince-inducing X-ray moves. This latest iteration in the franchise brings the game back to a 2D fighting plane and introduces a number of new gameplay features including Tag Team, Challenge Tower and a deep story mode. Several new features have been developed exclusively for Mortal Kombat for PS Vita system, which will be revealed in the coming months.

So... Is this a port of the PS3 version with bonus content or something?
The Vita was already on my must-buy list but I was content holding off for a while. This is going to make it a lot harder, especially if this game is a port of the PS3/Xbox 360 game which is absolutely outstanding. I'd love to have that game with me on the go.
I loved the game on the PS3 and making it portable would be even better. Glad I held off from buying any DLC as I will now be dedicating my time to this Vita version.
This is one of the games where Vita suffers because it doesn't have 3D. Imagine the grappling hook of Scorpion right in your face.
