Bethesda: DOOM 4 is Not Cancelled

Despite rumours to the contrary, DOOM 4 is not cancelled. Bethesda’s VP of PR and marketing, Pete Hines, headed online to quell rumours spilling out of AllGamesBeta.

He told Joystiq:

DOOM 4 isn't cancelled. When we're ready to talk about it and show it off, we'll let everyone know.

This is the second time DOOM 4’s development has been called into question in under six months. A rumour in late October suggested that the project had been “indefinitely postponed”.

The old adage "there’s no smoke without fire" springs to mind.
