UK high street retailer GAME will not stock any Ubisoft games at Vita's launch, VG247 has revealed.
The nation's biggest specialist retailer won't be selling any of Ubisoft's games, a huge blow to the giant publisher with a reputation for emphatic day-one support of new hardware.
That means GAME customers won't be able to pick up the following:
- Asphalt Injection
- Dungeon Hunter Alliance
- Lumines Electronic Symphony
- Michael Jackson: The Experience
- Rayman Origins
GAME's official statement is:
At this time we will not be selling the following Ubisoft titles; Lumines Electronic Symphony, Michael Jackson: The Experience, Rayman Origins, Asphalt Injection and Dungeon Hunter Alliance. All customers affected by this decision have been made aware of the situation and we will continue to communicate any updates to customers through our Twitter and Facebook feeds.
If you're in the UK and want a Ubisoft game at launch, GAME's not the place for you.

Blimey, I can't help think that GAME's days are numbered now. No stock of Tekken 3DS last week and now this. They are practically driving shoppers into Amazon's well-stocked arms!
Very bizarre as Ubisoft always plays a huge part in a console's launch line-up. Just glad I didn't have any pre-ordered.
It's even more baffling when you consider two of Ubisoft's titles — Lumines and Rayman — have the highest average review scores out of any in the Vita's line-up.
I understand GAME is in serious trouble, but they should at the /very/ least be stocking those two games. I could maybe understand them dropping Michael Jackson, etc.
i'm not really sure what this is telling me. Is this some sort of protest? They don't have enough money to carry ubisoft's games? Ubisoft doesn't like GAME?
