Namco to Co-publish Star Trek Next Year

Digital Extreme’s exciting PlayStation Move supported Star Trek title has got a new publisher and release date. The title will now find itself rocketing onto store shelves in early 2013, shortly before J. J. Abram’s next big theatrical release. It’ll be handled by Namco Bandai, who’s signed a co-publishing and distribution deal with Paramount Digital Entertainment.

It’s a shame to see the game get pushed out of its 2012 release window, but commercially it makes sense to tie the game’s marketing into the next big movie.

The game looked remarkably solid at last year’s E3 – we’re eager to see what Digital Extremes can do with an extra year to polish the product.
