Heck yes... Vita is now only a few miles from my home. I'm heading there in a few minutes!
...and that was a complete waste of my time. I got to see a Vita in a case and hit a few buttons to see videos that I've already watched a hundred times over.
At least I got to take my Ninja out for a spin.
Just popped into the Gamestop store here and they have a demo unit with Modnation Racers. And yes, the Vita already looked like it had been run over by a large semi truck.
@Corbs, you too? That thing was tethered down like it was a wild animal.
Cool, well I guess that I will swing by my local GameStop this weekend and check it out. Thanks for the heads-up guys.
My demo unit rocked. Tried uncharted, gravity daze, little deviants, tennis, escape plan. Sound wasn't working though. I was pretty impressed with the graphics and it seems pretty comfortable to hold. I'm still not going to buy any games at launch but it was fun trying those out.
What? Hmmm... we've got around 10 GameStop stores in my area, so I'm going to have to go check them out and see if I can actually play one of the things!
I played Uncharted. It's awesome. Not sure about the rest though.
As a Gamestop employee I had the privilege and pleasure of setting up our Vita display. I have been looking forward to the Vita's launch for some time and was very happy with my hands-on time with the demo unit. For those of you wondering as I have heard Sony Deactivated the sound on the demo unit so as that it would not interfere with the video display that should be above the Vita itself. Which made me sad because I could not here the dialogue or sound in the Uncharted or Gravity Rush Demos.
I played Uncharted and Mod Nation Racers, and yes I was impressed with the graphics, but for some reason the experience didn't satisfied me, after experiencing both series on PS3 I think I can never go back. Maybe I just need to take a look at it in a more private place.

Why must the one at the gamestop I went to have to be locked-up, WHY?
I went to my local Gamestop to check it out and yup the PSV has already lived up to my expectations. The hardware itself is great, nice large screen and the dual analog sticks feel perfect, I truly wish Nintendo had gone with that on 3DS over a circle pad, slide pad or whatever they call it. I played Uncharted and the graphics are excellent as I figured they would be. Really wish I'd be able to get this thing day one but I'm going to have to wait a bit, I hope it has a tremendous launch though. PSP never got the respect it deserved, hopefully the same won't happen to this machine, it truly does seem like the perfect handheld system.
Was dissapointed wit my hands-on. Sticks were wobbly, and the system was uncomfortable to hold. Gravity Rush was awesome though.
I called 4 of the local Gamestops. Only 1 had it set up. There were about 6 demos total to play and I checked out Gravity Rush, the golf game, and Little Deviants. Sadly, I could only spend about 10 minutes with it as I was on my lunch break.
There are also some reports on teh interweb of some Gamestops only allowing people who have preordered the system to play with the demo unit.
