Street Fighter X Tekken Takes the Fight to PlayStation Home

In order to promote the impending release of Street Fighter X Tekken on PlayStation 3, Sony’s announced a new tie-in event for PlayStation Home which will allow you to duke it out beat ‘em up style as your own custom avatars.

If you complete 10 challenges in the Home exclusive space, you’ll unlock special Ryu and Kazuya outfits for your character, which will allow you to perform additional moves in the promotional game.

The space will also include a booth to pre-order the full release of Street Fighter X Tekken. Order the game through Home and you’ll snap up the Boost Gem Trial Pack 1, which increases your Vitality, Defence and Cross Gauge meter build-up speed.

This isn’t the first time Sony’s gone mad with promotional spaces in PlayStation Home. The platform holder also developed a pretty decent rails shooter to promote Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and a waves based zombie survival game for Dead Island.
