All Games Beta has the first screenshots of Ubisoft's hotly anticipated Assassin's Creed III.
The screenshots — presumably taken from Game Informer — show the series' new hero wandering through a British colonial outpost, attacking enemies with a tomahawk and stalking a deer. He also has a bow on his back, which could lead to some interesting long-distance assassinations in archery mode.
Here's one of the shots, but if you want to see the rest, check out All Games Beta.

Wasn't sure what to think about this last night, but these screenshots have sold me!
I'm hotly anticipating this, although that's been true since I finished ACII, let alone Brotherhood and Revelations.
Looks like the environments are going to be much more open, rather than everything taking place in towns or cities
No taxation without assassination? Or maybe ... give me liberty or get an axe to the face?
I actually think this looks like an intriguing setting for a game. I might have to dust off all these AC games my brother has lying around and finally get up to speed.
I started the first.... got a little monotonous. Loved the 2nd. Didn't even attempt Brotherhood or Revelations....
But, this looks unbelievable. I can't really think of a better direction that they could've taken it... Will definitely keep checking in on this one
How surprising of the French Devs making the English the bad guys !
this game is going to be freaking awesome i bet!
I'm really excited for a change of location, after playing the other 4 console games (which I just started replaying in anticipation), I can say that this is going to be one hell of a game, a fantastic entry in my favorite series to spawn from this generation of gaming.
