Hydrophobia Prophecy developer Dark Energy Digital has been shut down, according to a report on GamesIndustry.biz.
The site reports that the company’s assets have been passed onto the recently founded Dark Energy Publishing, a new upstart created in January by Dark Energy Digital owners Pete and Deborah Jones. GamesIndustry.biz reports that the new outfit may be poised to "take control of physical assets and IP at a bargain price”. That would include Dark Energy Digital’s admittedly impressive water technology.
Despite the best efforts of the Manchester based developer, Hydrophobia Prophecy failed to find an audience. You can read our thoughts on the underwater shooter in our Hydrophobia Prophecy review.
