LittleBigPlanet Karting was only announced yesterday, but retailers are already vying for your pre-orders. Amazon.com is the first to make a convincing case, confirming that any pre-orders placed at the online retailer will be rewarded with an exclusive Kevin Butler costume for use in the game.
But that’s not all: the costume will also come with an executive golf kart vehicle. We reckon that’s a pretty fitting ride for the multi-talented VP.
Amazon’s attached a tentative 31st October release date to the game, but we suspect that might be a placeholder. At least we hope so, otherwise Assassin’s Creed III might have something to say about Sackboy’s latest trip to the races.
The game’s boxart appears to hint at PlayStation Move support, something that was initially rumoured but absent from yesterday’s official announcement. It’s also worth adding that, as speculated, Sony has confirmed full LBP.me integration for LittleBigPlanet Karting, allowing creators to easily share their work online.
We’re really eager to get our hands on this.

I've learned not to trust Amazon anymore when it comes to the LBP series; it says LBPK will be on October 31, and worst of all, it says LBPV, the whole reason I got my Vita, is coming on December 31.
@LittleBigVita Don't worry about it — they're just placeholder dates. Wait for an official announcement.
I've said it many times before but this just proves it, a platformer is not a true platformer until it has a racing game. Btw, will content from this game work on LBP 2, such as costumes, materials, etc., and vice versa?
I would love a Kevin Butler costume for LBP2!
Can we just take the next logical step and get Kevin Butler his own game? I would totally buy that.
Brilliant!
I dont know. At first I was thinking - I already own LBP LBP2 MNR - so why do I even need this? Then I read what staff gamer said and saw its made by the MNR people - they of the way too difficult story mode and even way too longer loading screens - and remembered I didn't really like that game, and as fun as the LBP games are they are too floaty for me still. 4 player split screen in a racer is a compelling case, but not if the game isn't fun to play. So, waiting for a demo, and hoping for an E3 announcement of Mario Kart WiiU where the controller is the steering wheel by default. If that big ass controller should feel comfortable for anything it should be as a steering wheel. And I don't think Nintendo would mess up a kart game.
@scribblenaut They have said that they are looking into do this to try make the costumes compatible on all games.
