SEGA has revealed it will cancel games and focus on sales-proven IP in the future.
The company's report cites Sonic the Hedgehog, Total War, Football Manager and Aliens as examples of the strong series it'll support in the next period and beyond. SEGA didn't reveal which titles would be canned, with a look through our list of SEGA games coming soon revealing just one new IP, Arkedo's Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Rabbit. Here's hoping that one's safe.
SEGA also confirmed a streamlining of its North American and European video games businesses, though it does expect to "strengthen development in the field of digital content."

Everybody go out and buy a copy of Yakuza: Dead Souls. We need to prove to SEGA that the in-development Yakuza 5 is worth localising. (That's if it hasn't been cancelled already).
I understand the economic rationale, but it is short term thinking. Perhaps they need to in order to turn things around, but if they stick to that approach, in a few years they will be dead.
Hopefully this doesn't effect Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz coming stateside! Best of luck to Sega and everyone else involved.
