Who knew video game marketing was so simple? In the span of a short five minute CGI trailer, publisher Bethesda’s managed to shoot Arkane Studios’ upcoming steam punk action title Dishonored straight to the top of our wishlist.
The game casts you as a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. After being framed for the murder of the beloved empress you were once sworn to protect, you embark on an adventure which finds you doing a bit of back-stabbing yourself... quite literally.
What’s most exciting about Dishonored is its gorgeous setting. The game’s takes place in a kind of technologically advanced Victorian London. It’s an interesting look that’s markedly different from the throngs of modern military shooters already available on PS3.
But don’t take our word for it – check out the trailer for yourself. We guarantee you’ll come away from the footage roughly ten times more excited about the game than you were before. Marketing win.

I need to stop coming to this website, to many games not enough money.
@Splat Haha. Sorry!
Sorry, can't get excited over CGI showing no gameplay.
Especially when it's from Bugthesta Softworks. No, wait... I mean Bugfest Notworks. No, that's not it... umm... a-ha! BugTester NotWork! Yes, that's them.
@Paranoimia I see what you did there!
1. Embodying understatment : Yes, CGI trailers are rarely representative of the actual game. Dead Island - I'm looking at you!
2. Personally : I need another game on my radar like a hole in the head. (Still playing 2011 wishlist)
3. However : Currently playing Skyrim and loving it! (most bugs now ironed out) Trying very hard... but cannot avert my eyes... looks so good, so interesting....damnit.
Is Bethesda behind console versions of their games or just PC and the others made by third parties?
