Namco Bandai’s delayed the North American release of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli’s ultra-pretty PS3 exclusive RPG Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch until next year. The altered Q1 2013 release puts the title in line with its previously announced European date.
To prove that the game isn’t vapourware, Namco Bandai has released a trailer showcasing the game’s localisation progress. In it, protagonist Oliver speaks with an American accent, while everyone else is British. It's proof that you can’t sell a game without an American protagonist – well, unless said character is Lara Croft.

I want this game so bad. I'm confident it is going to blow my mind. I know it is the perfect game for me.
[insert profane word here then goes into depression]
The localization is in progress...but won't be done for almost a full YEAR? SERIOUSLY? These guys need to hire some better localization guys stat. I mean come on, when you do it right the wait can be as little as four months, as Squenix has already proven.
As disappointed as I am by the news of this delay I am just grateful that the game is still coming. This is my most anticipated game right now. I'm sure that it will be worth the wait.
This game looks AMAZING!!
It'll be worth the wait but once again we see why Japanese developers and publishers have been lackluster on home consoles this gen,
Goosebumps...this is the first I have seen of this, and it looks amazing.
Anything Studio Ghibli touches is gold - this will be fantastic...I can wait.
