There may be numerous rumours swirling about the release date of Grand Theft Auto V, but nothing is set in stone just yet. We imagine Square Enix is hoping it stays that way, as it readies Sleeping Dogs for release on 14th August in North America. Don’t worry Europe – you’ll get your hands on the game a few days later on 17th August.
The game will come with three pre-order bonuses (depending on where you order from). Best Buy’s promoting the George St. Pierre pack, which features a bunch of gear and moves based on the UFC fighter. Meanwhile, GameStop has the Police Protection pack, which comes with a variety of cop themed clobber. And finally, Amazon has the Martial Arts pack which, unsurprisingly, comes with more in-game content.
If you’re in the UK, you won’t need to order at a specific retailer – all pre-orders, regardless of store, will ship with the George St. Pierre pack and Police Protection pack as standard. There’s no mention of the Martial Arts pack overseas.
August seems like a good window for Sleeping Dogs, but we had hoped it would launch a little earlier. While it will still avoid the Holiday rush, we think this game could have really taken advantage of the quiet summer months. Either way, we’re surprisingly excited to get our hands on it.

I think the trailers for this one look good. has great potential. I am keeping my eye out for it.
I didn't expect this, but I think this is my most 'wanted' game of 2012.
