IGN's lifted the lid on SEGA's next character crossover, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
The mouthful of a title is coming to PS3 and Vita later this year. The transformed of the title refers to the vehicles' ability to transform into cars, boats and planes, but also the course's tendency to change and morph over time: what was a rocky pass in one lap might be flooded in the second lap.
Confirmed characters so far include the usual Sonic crowd — Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Dr. Robotnik so far — as well as other classic SEGA characters: Gilius Thunderhead from Golden Axe and Skies of Arcadia and Valkyria Chronicles soldier Vyse Inglebard. Courses take in Shibuya from Jet Set Radio — soon to appear on PSN, remember — Panzer Dragoon and more.
Interestingly the publisher's dropped the word SEGA from the title, which could be a hint at cross-publisher content. Or just an effort to keep the game's spine text font above 8pt. Whichever it is, we'll have more on this very soon.

Swweeeeeetttt. This is a prefect Vita game in my opinion!
@TOMBOY25 It should be in safe hands with Sumo Digital — they've got stacks of experience creating portable racing games. Really looking forward to this!
@James yeah true the first was awesome too
hey im gonna be buying a fighting game for my vita should it be mortal kombat or umvc3
@TOMBOY25 Have you played either of them before? UMvC3 on vita is nearly the exact same as the console version.
So looking forward to this, the first one was a blast.
Sweet! Loved the last game and I'll be grabbing this one for Vita.
ive played both ps3 vers and there both awesome
@TOMBOY25 If you enjoyed the console version you'll enjoy the vita version as well, however the controls may take some getting used to, with the buttons/control sticks being much smaller, making it alittle hard to pull off moves/combos you may be able to do on the console version (no doubt this will be an occurrence on mortal kombat as well).
However, if I really had to pick just one, I'd personally go with Mortal Kombat, it just has far more content in my opinion (in fact the vita version is getting more content than the console version).
