Sony’s heavily rumoured crossover brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale took a step closer to confirmation this weekend, as cyber snoops uncovered a website domain registration for the title filed by SCEA.
The name was previously mentioned in a PlayStation survey, and seems to be pretty legit at this point.
The game itself is thought to be in development at new studio SuperBot Entertainment, and will collate some of Sony’s best known faces into a singular, self-referential party brawler. Yeah, we can’t wait either.

At this point I'm just hoping it turns out to be damn good
Sony will never stop coping Nintendo first the motion controler and now SSB. but people seem to be stupid and keep buying PS3's and PS Vita in my life i never got a PS console,i bet that they will copy the Wii U if not it will be the end of the world
Should have known Nintendo fanboys would attack Sony for this.
If you've never had a Sony console, Kev, why make an account and post on a Sony news site? o_O
I'm looking forward to this. I hope they include some non-Sony characters like Ezio and Big Daddy, though.
Kratos smacking up sackboy for the win.
I hope it turns out MUCH better than their last attempt to put these people together - Move Heroes. And I doubt very much this is going to be a SSB clone, I just don't see Sony going the 2D route. But if they did go the 2D route it would be more Capcom vs. Marvel (or whatever the flavor of the day is). I really can't imagine characters hitting each other while coins pop out of them that you have to gather.
Hell, I say copy Super Smash Bros. all you can. Why wouldn't you? It's easily the best brawler ever made, and I much prefer it to standard combo-based fighters anyway.
If this just turns out to be PS characters fighting one on one, count me out.
@DavynD I always enter here to see the news of how the PS Vita fails against the 3DS
