Soon you’ll be able to get hot and sweaty over this year’s Olympic Games without even needing to switch off your PS3. The BBC has confirmed that it’s bringing 24 channels of high definition Olympics coverage to Sony’s home console, as well as various Bravia televisions and standalone Blu-ray players. Naturally, you’ll find us tuned into the stream with Jessica Ennis on screen.
Once the Olympics are over, the application will be used to stream sports coverage previously only available via the "red button". The feature’s set to launch on compatible Bravia televisions ahead of this year's Wimbledon in late June.
Ace.

This is awesome. I tend to watch most TV through various catch-up services on PS3 these days, so it's ace that I'm going to be able to stream Wimbledon and the Olympics too.
Argh! I am very jealous about this. No chance at all that our crappy greedy television stations would do anything like this.
If an American tv company was doing this everybody who lived in London would be blacked out.
