It’s been a long time since we got any kind of update about Call of Duty on Vita. Despite the title being announced alongside Sony’s new handheld, Activision’s said very little about the potential blockbuster. But in an off-the-cuff Twitter remark overnight, social media manager Dan Amrich hinted at the title’s on-going development.
He confirmed on the social networking website that “Call of Duty is coming” though he admitted that he wasn’t aware “which version” or “who’s developing”. The Activision man added that he hopes to have more details soon.
It’s very likely that Sony will use its E3 press conference this June to announce the Vita’s first Call of Duty title. The shooter certainly has the potential to be the handheld’s most important game, so let’s hope it’s good.

I can't get to my wallet fast enough
Its a pity this and Bioshock are taking so long to arrive on the Vita, if they manage to pick the sales up then more developers will jump on board.
As it stands, Bioshock and COD will probably make it out for just before the holiday period, so with the massive increase in sales then, I guess 2013 will be a giant year for Vita.
Now if only we could get Sony to develop for it as many in-house games are mysteriously missing (Twisted Metal, Infamous, Jak and Daxter Collection and even the upcoming Battle Royale or whatever they are going to call it all) and they could find a way to get all PSN games to work for it too as surely the smaller games would be easier to convert (Journey, Trine 2, The Walking Dead)
I may not be a fan of the Call of Duty series but I am actually really looking forward to seeing this on the PS Vita. This could be a lot of fun. Can't wait!
