It’s sales-age season here at Push Square. As company’s report their annual movers and shakers to stern faced investors, we’re doing our best to pick out the most interesting tidbits from a never-ending line of dull spreadsheets and Powerpoint slides. This is one of those nuggets.
Capcom expects to sell seven million copies of the upcoming Resident Evil 6 across multiple platforms. Given the critically panned Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City recently posted sales in the region of two million units, we’d bet the Japanese publisher will meet that target pretty comfortably (if not exceed it).
It has slightly lower expectations for Ninja Theory’s Devil May Cry reboot, predicting numbers somewhere in the region of two million. The game’s due out sometime this year, though a date has not yet been announced.
Finally, Capcom expects to sell 1.5 million copies of new IP Dragon’s Dogma, which is due out in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, it’s attached a modest prediction of 1.4 million units to the recently announced Lost Planet 3.
All sound totally reasonable to us.

Seven million doesn't seem like a lot in this case. Well considering it's going to be more like a shooter than a horror game that is.
Shooting games sell better you know?
