After weeks of speculation, Sony has finally released the first official trailer for its upcoming Vita exclusive Soul Sacrifice. The game is being developed in collaboration with Marvelous AQL and former Capcom man Keiji Inafune.
The trailer is light on gameplay, but it does highlight the title’s sacrifice mechanic. In a gruesome scene, the protagonist is shown ripping his spinal cord from out of his mouth and using it as a sword. Surrendering body parts in exchange for attacks is a key part of Soul Sacrifice’s combat.
The trailer concludes with a winter release window. We’ll need to see more of the game to make any stronger judgements about its quality, but carefully tailored blockbuster experiences like this are clearly what the Vita needs to win over the Japanese market. The game certainly has potential.

not what I was pulling for but still interested.
I have absolutely no idea why, but I think this might be rated M
Love the twisted art-style.
Can't wait to see what type of game Keiji Inafune can make now that he's free from Capcom.
