You’ll be able to quench your thirst for crumpled bonnets today, when Codemasters smashes a demo for the upcoming DiRT Showdown onto the PlayStation Store. The teaser will feature two events, including a solo single-player race and a “devastating” multiplayer demolition derby event.
The single-player race will see you participating in a “full-impact race in the shadow of San Francisco’s Golden Gate bridge”. Meanwhile, the multiplayer event focuses on the Destruction Derby-inspired mode we mentioned in our recent DiRT Showdown preview.
If you download the demo, you’ll also be able to register for RaceNet, a new social network service designed to unite all of Codemasters’ racing games. There's a trailer embedded below.

So glad that there is a demo of this game. Really want to try it. I know I will enjoy it but wonder if I will get bored to quickly. It strikes me as a great game for having friends over. From memory it can split screen. I am assuming that it won't work with my GT wheel but may be pleasantly surprised.
