NetherRealm’s brilliant Mortal Kombat kicks, punches and murders its way onto PlayStation Vita in North America today – and to celebrate, publisher Warner Bros has released the handheld brawler's launch trailer.
The footage features a 70-second montage of gameplay from the full game, and we have to admit, it’s looking like a fantastic port.
In addition to the all of the content from the PS3 release (and its DLC), Mortal Kombat Vita also includes a brand new Challenge Tower packed with trials designed to take advantage of the Vita's hardware. You can find out a little more about what to expect from those challenges over on the PlayStation Blog.
Are you planning on picking this up?

I think this looks really good, and makes we want a Vita.
Picked up my pre-order as soon as the local game store opened today. It's great to finally have the best fighting game of this generation to take on the go with me.
I'm really tempted to pick this game up but I think that I am going to wait to read some reviews first. I've heard some people say that this game is awesome while others say that it is a lazy port. I'm not sure what to believe.
The cutscenes look great but the in-game graphics took a bit of a hit, in part so the framerate wouldn't suffer. That's really the only criticism I can come up with. As far as a 'lazy port,' I'd really like to talk to anybody who says that to hear their complaints because 'lazy' is not a word I'd associate with the work done on this. It has all the content of the PS3/360 version of the game plus some more costumes and bonus challenges.
@Gamer83: Thank you for your feedback on the game. I appreciate hearing your impressions of it. I just read a really good review of this game on Destructoid.com. I will probably wait to see what PushSquare has to say about it first but chances are that I will be picking it up.
@WolfRamHeart
Glad to help. I'm looking forward to the PushSquare review as well.
@WolfRamHeart I haven't played the game, but I've heard that the port is top notch from various sources. I'm really tempted to get this too.
