The nebulous financial status of Awesomenauts publisher dtp Entertainment had called the viability of the title’s first DLC expansion into question, but it looks like developer Ronimo has been given the all clear. The studio has released a single shot of the first downloadable character, which looks a lot like a lady to us. The character – still without a name – will be the first female Awesomenaut, and while Ronimo hasn’t announced any information to accompany the image yet, we can assume from the screenshot that she’ll ride a hover board. That’s pretty neat, huh?
In addition to the first DLC, the developer has also promised to have a patch in the pipeline. The update will include community suggested balance fixes, and more.
Awesomenauts released earlier this month as a free download for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

My son and I played this non-stop for a few days but we've had enough. We would play a lot more w/ either split screen vs or a story mode like they made in Swords & Soldiers.
my wife and I had pretty good fun with this game too. I don't think it will have quite the longevity of something like Might & Magic because of the lack of variety in gameplay. Hopefully the patch for balance helps. New maps that are extremely different would help in my opinion.
