Hardware sales continued to decrease in Japan this week. The Vita’s fortunes improved by a measly seven units, as it mustered a disastrous 6k sales for the second week running. In fairness, it was another timid week for all of Japan’s major consoles, with PS3 and PSP's overall totals also dropping. Even the infallible Nintendo 3DS shed a further 1,000 units, though it still managed to outsell all of the other systems combined.
The poor sales were compounded by a lack of important software releases. PSP enjoyed a handful of new arrivals, with the questionable My Little Sister Can't Possibly Be This Cute Portable Can't Possibly Continue topping the software charts. It was joined by PSP remake Persona 2: Eternal Punishment in third and Brothers Conflict Passion Pink in fifth.
The depressing numbers are embedded below.

another gem of a title topping the Japanese chart. I can't get enough of it.
@Squiggle55 Brilliant, isn't it?
I want Persona 2: Eternal Punishment in Europe for my PSP. Hopefully it will come.
Haha, the anime that the mouthful of a game is based on is actually really good.
wah thought person 2 would be selling much better in japan
Is it just me or with the massive sales of these PSP games, shouldnt Sony be pushing these on the Vita?
Are they even compatible with the Vita or do they need to go through this cumbersome conversion process as well, which seems to take an unusually long time for Sony to convert?!
How is the 3DS doing so well
Mario + Mario Kart + Fire Emblem + Monster Hunter
yup capcom killed vita with a mh on the wrong side
