After a torrid couple of weeks in Japan, the Vita has finally emerged from its temporary slump. Sony’s shiny new system sold a respectable 12,299 units for the week ending 29th April – a significant improvement over last week’s worrying 8,206 units tally.
The boost was no doubt orchestrated by the release of Surge Concerto: Ciel nosurge from Gust. The Vita exclusive debuted fourth in the software charts, selling a reasonable 33,324 units.
However, this week’s big winner was Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City on the PS3, which topped the charts with an impressive 252,525 units sold. Turns out the Resident Evil franchise is still a big deal after all.
There weren’t too many other notable developments on this week’s chart, but we have to give a shout out to the brilliantly titled PSP release Even in a Game, Listen to Me, Girls. I Am You Father!. Game names don't get much better than that, do they?

@Savino Considering what it has been doing, though...
Also, you have to remember PSP is an established platform with a huge software catalogue and a cheaper price point.
I can see going to the store and it playing out like this...
Excuse me sir do you guys have "Even in a Game, Listen to Me, Girls. I Am You Father!"
I'm sorry what?
Sigh Now I have to say it again.
@Splat Better than going into the store and asking for Conception: Please Give Birth to My Children.
Well that a nice silver-lining
