The upcoming Ratchet & Clank Collection may boast three PS2 titles from Insomniac Games’ comical platforming franchise, but it doesn't include the full set. Indeed, the compilation is missing out on the co-operative Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked, which launched relatively late in the PS2’s lifespan.
Thankfully, while Deadlocked doesn't come bundled with the aforementioned HD compilation, it seems Sony hasn't scrapped plans to release the forgotten fourth title on PS3. A Japanese trailer for the collection concludes with a teaser for a PSN release of Deadlocked. It’s safe to assume that if the title’s releasing in Japan, it’ll also launch in the West.
You can admire Ratchet’s exaggerated Japanese eyebrows in the trailer embedded below.

I don't read a lick of Japanese, but are the 3 games ,1200 each and Deadlocked 1000? That would be a nice discount at least. I'm guessing due to no HD or 3D in Deadlocked. I have the Deadlocked demo (from some unkonwn disc waaaay back when) and I hated it. Hated it alot. I tried and I tried and I tried but I could never like it. But that was then. I think I could like it now though, and co-op is always fun. What do ya think about a free pre-order code? Announced at E3?
I think I already have this for PS2, so it would need to be an HD upgrade with trophies like the bundle for me to consider it.
Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if Deadlocked is just a PS2 Classics release. Better than nothing, I suppose. And yes, I would also not be surprised if the game is the reason we were warned to preorder the game.
I'd love to delve back into it's multiplayer once again!
