We’ve been big proponents of the PlayStation Plus platform over the past couple of years. The value proposition continues to be exceptional, with frequent discounts and giveaways making up for the subscription fee alone. But while the service is solid as it is, Eurogamer.net reports that Sony is planning to announce a complete overhaul of the premium tier at E3.
According to the website, Sony will devote a portion of its E3 press conference to run through the specifics of the revamp. New features include full PlayStation Vita integration and top-tier game giveaways.
Vita integration is something that’s been widely demanded by Plus subscribers, and Sony looks set to deliver. The Eurogamer.net report mentions the addition of cloud saves for the portable platform, in addition to regular giveaways.
The article also notes that, as previously speculated, Sony may be on the verge of announcing a partnership with a major cloud gaming service. However, it cautions that the collaboration could be related to Bravia televisions rather than PlayStation consoles.
Sony recently released a survey to PlayStation owners in North America, discussing the possibility of changes to the current subscription format. The questionnaire quizzed potential customers on the type of upgrades they’d like to see added to the service, including Call of Duty: Elite memberships and more.
What changes would you like to see made to the PlayStation Plus service? And if you're not a subscriber yet, what would convince you to join?

As someone that's already lost all their Vita save data due to unreliable memory sticks, I'd scream with joy if they announced cloud saves for the handheld. You can't beat the safety net of cloud back ups.
I agree with get2sammyb, in addition i hope they increase the memory for cloud saves. The current size of 150mb is not cutting it for me. I have 3 playstation 3 system and i play multiple games on each system and currently mine is at 145mb.
free vita games and discounts (ps+ integration) will be the highlight of e3 for me. I don't want them to change much about PS+ except for that. also, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a cloud platform on ps3 that lets you rent games.
@Kayoss Yeah, it would be nice to get 500mb — even if that total was shared between PS3 and Vita.
I hope with the overhaul they don't remove features while adding new ones. I love PS+ just the way it is but Im all for added extras
Involving the Vita seems like a no-brainer - 1 stone 2 birds - kind of promotion for both Vita and PS+. PS+ has actually been really good the past few months and I haven't even been interested in about half of it. I do think as many people have said before a movie should be added to promote Sony video on the PS3. Not anything new but 1 of those 99c deals just to get people looking at the service.
1 real thing they could do for PS+ is queued DL pre-orders for games. They've been releasing a bunch of games lately, would be nice if you could pre-purchase it and have it done when you wake up Tuesday morning rather than waiting for 5,7 or 9PM whenever they feel like updating the store. I think Steam might do this already. I'm almost positive some people would sign up just for that.
I think I'd go for it depending on the new features and possible Vita additions, I don't have Plus but I've been more tempted by it in the last few months. Game trials and freebies have been interesting recently.
@get2sammyb Ouch, haven't experienced any issues with my Vita saves, can't Content Manager back up saves (or am I just imagining that)?
