According to mounting rumours, Ubisoft is set to unveil the latest title in the Splinter Cell series at next week’s E3. The game – which is thought to be named Splinter Cell: Black List – is supposedly in development at Jade Raymond’s Toronto studio. It’s apparently scheduled for a January 2013 release on PlayStation 3.
In addition, a poster on NeoGAF claims to have seen a promo for the game, and states that Sam Fisher is “looking good as always with no grey hair, full body suit, and his mighty night goggles”. The post adds that the game appears to be a sequel to Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Ubisoft has previously confirmed that a new Splinter Cell is in development, so these rumours don’t sound especially unbelievable. As always though, take everything with a pinch of salt until we get the official line.

Lets hope its not going to end up as (IMO) appalling as Conviction turned out to be when released. A return to its stealthy roots would be appreciated here...
