Someone stop the flow of fresh Vita announcements, we’re worried there’s going to be a flood soon. Retro Affect is the latest studio to take to the PlayStation Blog and announce a new cross-platform title for Sony’s family of consoles, confirming that the quirky puzzle platformer Snapshot is set to distort reality on PS3 and Vita this fall.
The downloadable puts you in control of Pic, a robot armed with a high-tech camera that can “capture and remove objects from the environment”. Once you’ve snapped an object, you can paste it back into the environment, allowing you to conquer all manner of clever puzzles demonstrated in the trailer below.
While early puzzles will see you moving blocks around the world in typical puzzle platformer tradition, the game promises to get much more complex as you progress. For example, one puzzle challenges you to snap an image of light source in order to illuminate a darkened hallway. You can even capture the momentum and physics of an object, allowing you to alter its trajectory.
The game’s due out this fall on PlayStation 3 and Vita, with full cross-platform functionality.

@JavierYHL Persona 4?
Now this is the kind of game I'm after!
Wow, this looks really interesting. Can't wait to give it a try.
@get2sammyb I think he means a new JRPG that isn't a port of an old game.
@Mason I thought you'd be excited.
@get2sammyb yup persona 4 would be good but i wan little king story 2 fast!
I saw this at PAX East '11 and was really impressed. The game was running on PCs and the seats they had set up were torn out of cars, but the guys were really excited to be showing off their game. My wife played through the demo and really enjoyed it. She even managed to solve one of the puzzles in a way they had never intended!
I'm really excited that this is finally going to be released.
I too saw this at PAX East ('12) and thought it was nifty. Hope it's fiendish!
I'm really looking forward to this game.
