The release schedule for PlayStation Vita may be looking a bit barren right now, but Sony’s hoping to flesh things out until Resistance: Burning Skies by increasing support for legacy PSP software.
Starting today, you'll be able to play classics such as Valhalla Knights 2 and Cho Aniki Zero on your hot new hardware. A selection of popular Minis are also invited to the party, including Echoes and Me Monstar: Hear Me Roar.
But that, as they say, is not all. No sir, Sony’s also outlined a roadmap of future titles set to be updated with Vita compatibility in the coming weeks. Feel free to peruse the full selection below, and let us know if anything major's missing in the comments.

Burnout Legends is still not compatible. For us UK gamers anyway.
This is what im talking about!!! eventhough the selection are not great but it seems theres something for everyone. This is a great start on getting on the right direction.
I'm still waiting for Angry Birds and A Space Shooter For Two Bucks to be Vita compatible Mini's.
On the frenchstore, we have most of these PSP titles
6 psp games and 500 coming soon...what is there to get excited about? After reading the headline, I thought almost all had been made compatible. They better be coming.
@Firejonie
FUNNY INTERNET VIDEOS
Work Time Fun is on the wrong list. But at least it's ON an official list, which is more than I can say for titles such as Brave Story: New Traveler (but that one's not available for download AT ALL anymore, so...that's a problem), Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure, Hexyz Force, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, LittleBigPlanet, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe (which the developer claimed would be up and running LAST MONTH), Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and Secret Agent Clank. I am aware that many of these titles reportedly do work if copied from a PS3 or PC, but that shouldn't be necessary. If they only added six games today, how freaking long is it going to take for them to add the others on the so-called "coming soon" list? There's no excuse for things moving this damn slowly.
@Stuffgamer1 Sure there is: They're probably working with a small staff that can only do so much. It's software emulation. It's going to take time.
I'm just glad that Ys: I & II Chronicles is finally going to be available for the Vita.
I'm so ready to be able to play Gamocracy One : Legend Of Robot on my Vita!
Soooo... no Velocity game this week?
Thought this was coming out for sure, confirmed by the developer!
Bummer, this is a great retro title from all the footage I have seen.
Where is my Metal Gear Ac!d 1 and 2
I am not happy at all.
well at least there something for me till gravity rush
Hmmm . . .
Sony possibly missing a trick, again.
It's good (obviously) that BC is supported at all, and it's also good that titles are being made ready. But it's really time something was done about regional division. It's usually due to the mess that is international licenses etc (music, I believe being the biggest problem) but where its just a matter of localisation, why bother waiting? I want Darius Burst, and I don't want to pay £30 plus to import it, but I will pay for it from PSN. I managed to play Star Soldier, Parodius Portable, TwinBee Portable and Gradius Collection quite happily on my PSP without needing any knowledge whatsoever of Japanese- just make them available- with warnings of language support- but available.
The same goes for the EU/NA stores, most of Europe speaks English, and large parts of many games go untranslated anyway- just make them available!
There's very little reason for most PSP emulated titles not to work, (I'm yet to find a PS2 game my PS3 can't handle)- get one to work, they should all follow suit. If it's a matter of testing, use the community who want this stuff to work!
@IrishYort It's out on the PlayStation Store this week, yes. I'm not sure what the situation is in North America, but I can confirm that the game works on UK Vitas.
Looking good! Hope to see Phantasy Star Portable 2 and White Knight Chronicles Origins. I'll be a happier campier!
its about time ...
@nathanuc1988
I need Phantasy Star Portable
