As teased yesterday, Earth Defense Forces 3 Portable is officially heading to PlayStation Vita. The updated port of the Xbox 360 exclusive is set to release in Japan later this year, and will boast full four-player co-operative multiplayer via ad-hoc and online.
In Japan, the game will retail for ¥6,090 on its own, or as part of a double-pack for ¥7,329. The latter bundle includes two cartridges, allowing for instant local multiplayer gameplay. Now there's a novel idea.

Is this game an RPG?
@JavierYHL It's a shooter, I'm afraid. Here's a video of the Xbox version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6ArTU0ydP4
@get2sammyb 00 thanks:)
the game looks fun!
@JavierYHL Yeah, the series has a lot of fans for sure. It's never been "mainstream" popular, but the games always seem to do fairly well.
When I seen this news I decided its time to get a Vita so Ill be getting one soon. Not everyone's cup o' tea but i loved insect armageddon on Ps3. Its good to see the online co-op is still intact
Fingers crossed for an American release.
Please come to America. That is some powerful rocket launcher to take down buildings in one hit
