ZombiU is arguably one of the most exciting titles in the pipeline for Nintendo’s newly announced Wii U system, but according to Ubisoft it might not stay exclusive forever.
Chatting with IGN, senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key explained that, while the game is an exclusive for now, the company would consider porting it to other platforms if it could successfully replicate what “makes the game cool”.
He continued:
There’s definitely going to be knowledge that we gain from developing for Wii U that we’ll be able to transfer not only to SmartGlass technology but also to even the cross-talk on PlayStation 3 and Vita.
Of course, it’s probably going to depend on how well ZombiU is received on Wii U first. If the game crashes and burns on Nintendo’s new system, then it’s unlikely Ubisoft will spend the resources investing in a complex port. But if it is successful, well, you never know.

Well since they can't really call it ZombieU I propose ZombiMove and ZombiKinect b/c ZombiPs3Vita and ZombiSmartglass sound ridiculous.
Ill be buying this day one, flop or not. I want to encourage games like these on wii u. As far as sony, this would look like most other shooters.
If nothing else, the Wii U should be inspiring Sony to push the Crossplay ability of the PS3 and the Vita.
I dream a fanboyish dream of playing Aliens: Colonial Marines with my Move Sharpshooter equipped with Vita Motion Tracker in the dark! lol
@KALofKRYPTON
agreed!!
YES!! YES!! VITA!!! You could easily do a straight port considering the Vita has WiiU's exact same button functionality and Zombie U's graphics engine isn't the most cutting edge out there so you'd lose nothing graphically. This game looks awesome. BRING IT
yes please do!
If I don't shoot another dang zombie for the next ten years I'll be a happy camper!
@Slapshot
Zombies are quite boring now. I think the World War Z movie should do well to put everyone off. Or of course, the wider public won't have read the excellent book- or heard the even better audiobook!
