It’s officially the season for picking up video game movie rights, it seems. Clearly green with envy at the announcement of upcoming Need for Speed and Assassin’s Creed adaptations, Square Enix has announced that it has teamed up with CBS Films to create a flick for the fairly recent Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
The studio will apparently work “closely” with original developer Eidos Montreal to create a film fitting of the series’ fanbase. “No one knows Human Revolution like the team that created it, and we look forward to working with them from day one to make a film adaptation worthy of the Deus Ex name," CBS Films’ co-president Terry Press said.
Consider yourselves well and truly reassured.

I'm probably picking up Human Revolution later after trading the pretty dire F1 2011 (Vita), looking forward to it.
