After a slew of rumours, Namco Bandai has officially confirmed that it’s bringing the heavily demanded Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD Collection to PlayStation 3 this year. Strangely, the re-release will comprise the original Budokai title and the well received Budokai 3, but not the second game in the series.
We’d love to make some witty observations about this collection, but we know more about quantum physics than we do Dragon Ball Z. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those things. Feel free to go nuts in the comments. (Or not?)

So Budokai 1 & 3 and no Tenkaichi? I was hoping to have the open world of Tenkaichi 2. Strange. I can see them wanting to include Budokai 1 as its the only one that did not use cell shading but leaving out 2 is just weird.
Im stilling this by the way. DBZ trophies are too good to pass up. I 100% Budokai 1 on PS2 so ill be getting at least 1 platinum out of this
Graphics look just like the the PS2 games, though I'd imagine B3 in HD would look fresh. Strange how they didn't include Budokai 2 though or online play.
Lots of HD remakes being announced today!
I'm just happy we're getting Budokai 3. Easily the best DBZ game ever made, even the critics agreed when it was released. So happy that I'll get to play it again soon - it's a gigantic game.
have a passing aquaintance with DBZ as I used to know a few guys who were really in to it. Played one of these on GameCube back then between SF2T sessions. It was pretty decent.
