Polyphony Digital gaffer Kazunori Yamauchi has hinted that Gran Turismo 6 is in development for the next PlayStation console. Speaking at the China Joy event in Beijing, the series creator said that the team is “targeting the latest technology” for the next iteration of its gigantic racing series. He added that development on the sequel started immediately after the completion of Gran Turismo 5 in 2010.
Asked whether the series could come to PlayStation Vita, Yamauchi was coy – but he did outline some of the features he’d like to include if the hypothetical handheld version got the go ahead. “We'd like to make use of the ability to play anywhere and the ability to use 3G at any time,” he said.
Yamauchi is set to scout out the Shanghai Circuit later today to see if it’s worth including in a future game.

2018?
should come a vita version first
Hell, just a port of GT4 to Vita would be stellar.
Well, if they started on it in 2010, out should be out by the time gr8 hits the PS 5, meantime I'll be playing fm 15

Doubt there will be a port of gran turismo 4, as head of Sony already stated he doesn't want the Vita being a console"port"
