SEGA’s spunkiest extra-terrestrial tag-team, ToeJam & Earl, could be bouncing onto PlayStation 3, if a rumour on Siliconera is to be believed. According to the site’s anonymous sources, the original Mega Drive game and its side-scrolling sequel, Panic on Funkotron, are the next titles on the publisher's growing Vintage Collection checklist.
Naturally, the Japanese company is keeping schtum about its future plans, but it would be a real bummer if this rumour didn’t turn out to be true. Let us know if you're a fan of ToeJam & Earl's original escapades in the comments section below.

What a game!!
Shame about Panic on Funkatron though, nowhere near as good-totally different game.
As much as I love ToeJam & Earl, I don't think it has aged so well. As a kid, playing it on my Mega Drive, I didn't even notice, but the characters move at a dreadful slow pace. I find it almost painful to play it nowadays.
Well...the games are already on Steam and have actually been rumored to be in the works for PSN and/or XBLA for a long time now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they finally make it work.
Don't think I'd get it, though. My first experience with the games was on Wii VC, and while the first one's pretty good, the second's not all that great, and neither is really worth buying again IMO.
I also don't like the second one much, but the original is fantastic. Dat bassline. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTIrdlRs--Q
