There’s no let up from Hollywood. Apparently, if you’re planning on making a theatrical video game adaptation, then now is the time to announce the news. Hot on the heels of similar reports centred on Deus Ex, Assassin’s Creed and Need for Speed, Universal has announced that it has snapped up writing duo Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to work on a big screen version of God of War.
The gruesome twosome are best known for writing four instalments of the Saw franchise. They also worked with Guillermo del Toro on Pacific Rim.
Like most video game movie rumours, a God of War flick has been on the cards for years. During that time it has seen numerous writers and directors attached to it – none of which have managed to stick.
