Activision’s next big thing, Skylanders Giants, will swarm onto UK store shelves on 19th October, the publisher has announced. Our local supermarket’s only just moved the last batch of interactive toys to the back of the shop, so we can't wait to be greeted by a fresh group of twee monsters every time we go to buy a loaf of bread and a Kit-Kat.
Those of you in North America will have a few extra days to prepare yourself for the inevitable sell outs and outrageous eBay auctions, as the title is not set to arrive overseas until 21st October. That’s a Sunday by the way, which should tell you everything you need to know.
According to Activision, the original Skylanders made more revenue than any other game property between January and April. Expect the sequel to be one of the biggest games of the year, too.

I'm actually looking forward to a new game as we've played the first 1 to death, and then we bought the Dragon's Peak expansion pack for $20 and played that level to the end in all of 15 minutes. $60 for an entire new game will seem well worth it after that. Though I guess we'll need to buy a Giant or 2. I wonder if Santa can stuff a giant in a stocking? hmm
