The beauty of Linked In is that someone will always say something they shouldn’t. Take the profile of former SCEA employee Attila Vass, who’d almost certainly be spending the day on Jack Tretton’s naughty step if he hadn’t left the company in April.
See, according to Vass’ online resume, Sony has been working on a “next generation” PlayStation console since August 2010. Considering the engineer previously worked on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita, it’s safe to assume he had a hand in the PS4 too.
Unfortunately, that’s where the information source runs dry. No doubt Sony’s infamous ninjas will have a muzzle on Vass before he can reveal anymore. Still, if the console’s been in development for at least two years – an official announcement can’t be far away, can it?

Since this is the sixth PlayStation, maybe they'll skip calling it PS4 and go straight to PlayStation 6, forcing Microsoft to call the next Xbox, Xbox 630.
If it weren't for employees being dumber than a absent-minded woodlouse, Push Square wouldn't exsist!
@PikminMonster Sadly, this is true.
As much as I hate to say it, if the market stays in the volatile condition it's currently in, I fear the what negative effects the next generation consoles are going to have on the industry. Development cost are already ridiculously high and we've lost so many top-tier developers in the last few years, what will happen when these cost double once again?
