Tekken honcho Katsuhiro Harada has not forgotten about Tekken X Street Fighter. Chatting with Eurogamer.net, the developer revealed that while the game is not currently in full production, it is being designed with current consoles in mind.
He said:
There are still a large number of players out there with a PlayStation 3 who are looking forward to the game. So we feel it’s probably more relevant to get the title out to them on the current hardware.
Next generation hardware is likely to be announced next year. As such, Harada continued that nothing is set in stone: “We’re not completely sure, but that’s the direction at this moment.”
After the backlash that Street Fighter X Tekken faced earlier in the year, we had worried that Namco Bandai wouldn’t get to finish its own crossover brawler. Thankfully it sounds like the game is still very much on the cards – but it’s probably going to be a while before we actually get to play it.

Wait, so Tekken X Street Fighter which was annouced like 2yrs ago is not in full production but The New Smash bros game which was just annouced a week or so ago is a " Big priority " ? Katsuhiro Harada stated that the project is a "big priority", and that the Tekken team was going to be involved after Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was finished.
Harada went on to say, "obviously it’s a big priority for the company. So company-wide there are a lot of people involved with that particular project. Not just from Tekken but a lot of our franchises." http://www.destructoid.com/smash-bros-is-a-big-priority-for-namco-231053.phtml
