This Assassin’s Creed III trailer doesn’t really need a rousing cinematic score and dramatic voice over to make it seem impressive. No, it does that all on its own. It’s hard not to get excited over the upcoming sequel’s dynamic weather and naval combat. Oh, and did we mention that the game's able to render 2,000 unique characters in a single sequence, too?

This looks flippin amazing... The environment kinda reminds me of RDR which is in no way a bad thing.
@Splat Yeah, it continues to impress me too. The Assassin's Creed games have always looked good, but this is a cut above.
This might actually be the best game of the year. (For me.)
Y'know, there's one thing that's always bugged me about the protagonists of Assassin's Creed. I mean, they can climb monolithic structures and run across rooftops with the greatest of ease...but they never get fatigued!
It's one of my pet-peeves with videogame action heroes; they never seem to pant, or get tired, or make mistakes, or have their strength give-out on them. Now granted, such things would interfere with gameplay...but, I always feel disconnected when guys like Nathan Drake or Ezio are able to leap around like Spiderman without any physical reprocussions. How about (in the next games), giving them a 'stamina' meter, like something from Skyward Sword or I Am Alive? It's just my opinion, but such a feature could really up the tension for the player... just imagine having your character become weary on a cliff face, so you need to find a small crevice in order to catch a breath (like something Bear Grylls would do).
Rant aside...dynamic weather! Woop!
I've never wanted to play an AC game before this one. It really looks like an almost entirely different genre to me. The first ones looked like stealth sneaky hiding games. This looks much more like a 3rd person action adventure title. I'm in.
Kage_88 - While I agree nobody ever gets winded running sprints. I do think one of the best aspects of Nathan Drake was his always seeming worn out. He passes out on his girlfriends lap, he drags himself around like the mummy, he's always bent over with his hands on his knees like a tired basketball player. I just finished inFamous last night and even Cole occasionally took a nap, and couldn't function as well in blacked out areas, though as a juiced up superhero he was admittedly never winded.
Day one purchase.
