And so it starts. Sony has announced that it will be porting the PlayStation Vita version of Hot Shots Golf to the PS3. The re-release – which is currently only confirmed for Japan – will launch with the same name as its handheld counterpart. In this instance, that’s Minna no Golf 6.
The console version will support PlayStation Move, and will be playable alongside the Vita version courtesy of cross-play. All of the original's downloadable content will be included on the disc.
The PS3 release will also include two new modes, "Slot Mode" and "Minna no Short Course”. The former will award you with gameplay bonuses which can be won via slots, while the other will place you on courses made up entirely of short holes.
There’s no word on a Western release just yet, but the port is due out on 22nd November in Japan.

So Sony is porting their most successful launch game on the Vita in Japan to the PS3.
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
I swear, it's like they don't care about how the Vita does at all. I'm pretty surprised, though. This seems to go against their current modus operandi. I can't imagine what they're thinking.
Smart move to make a demake a vita exclusive xD
yup ps3 dun need these to survive...but vita surely needs every single one of those exclusive out there...people will start to think gravity rush and ss will be port to ps3 later also and who they hell would buy a vita...RIP sony
This surprised me too.
@JavierYHL If SS means Sound Shapes, it's already happened.
Considering Sony is the main contributer to the Vita exclusives, it'd be foolish of them to think enough people soley want a console experience on the go to justify buying the system.
Again, this just goes directly against to what I thought their MO was. I thought they'd try to slowly build a good line-up of games for their system so that 3rd parties would notice, but if they put out their best Vita exclusives to the PS3, that won't work.
