Media Molecule made an unexpected cameo during Sony’s GamesCom 2012 press conference this evening to announce Tearaway, a gorgeous new PlayStation Vita exclusive set in a papercraft world.
The game features a cutesy protagonist named Iota – spotted in a promotional banner earlier today – and sees players embark on a 3D adventure packed with innovative touch controls. This is definitely one to watch.

Looks very good. Definitely some great things are happening for the Vita, I hope this comes out soon.
Why did I think this was LittleBigPlanet-related?
this really makes full use of the vita...love it!
This, in addition to big name stuff like Assassin's Creed and Killzone, is just the kind of game Vita needs and there's an AAA developer behind it. Can't wait to learn more.
This looks fun! I'm glad MM can do something other then LBP now. Nice use of Vita tools.
This is the type of games I want to see on Vita! Beautiful!
This is the first game that makes me consider buying a VITA in the near future. Give me more creative games like this and at least ONE good RPG, instead of milking established IPs, and I'm all for it. I, for one, want the VITA to be a system that stands by itself with it's own games, not Sony's excuse to deliver portable versions of franchises that were already sucked dry on the last 6 years.
This looks awesome! MM is my favourite developer!
