You’ll no longer have to wrestle with the PlayStation 3’s sluggish web based version of YouTube, because the system is getting its own native application. Polygon reports that the free download will support high-definition video, enhanced search functionality, and more. Apparently you’ll also be able to use a connected smartphone as a remote control.
Additional details are agonisingly scarce, but the application is expected to be announced during Sony’s GamesCom press conference later today. Let's hope the release isn't too far behind.
