Sony announced that it's increasing PlayStation Plus' cloud storage capacity to 1GB during its GamesCom 2012 press conference earlier today. The confirmation – which was met by rapturous applause by the attending audience – adds another feather to the premium service’s already rather compelling cap.
The initiative's cloud storage previously capped at 150MB. Now you can finally back up that Afrika save you’ve always been worried about.

More storage space on the Cloud is definitely a good thing. Sony seems to be unveiling a lot of pleasant surprises at today's GamesCom press conference.
Just how big is that save file for Afrika anyway? I bought that game a while back but I still have yet to crack it open and play it.
I have only had PS+ for a few weeks but haven't really used this feature all that much yet.
Thank you x10000. I've been struggling to manage my saves with only 150mb. No more worrying about it
I still have...over 100mb free as it is. A full GIG? That's just CRAZY! What I really want is Vita cloud save support...
@Stuffgamer1 Who wouldn't?
@Stuffgamer1 I want it too. They've said they're bring Plus to Vita soon so let's cross out fingers.
if you have lots of space free you must not play that many games.... I'm currently down to 40MB left and I don't even play THAT many games. A gig is VERY welcome. Just means I can backup games saves I don't really care about, just because!
Thanks Sony, now please sort out CS:GO in EU and we're all good!
