I was really excited about this. In fact it was the reason I bought a Vita. But I have since tried to play a psone game via remote play, and realised that the vita is short two shoulder buttons. This had never crossed my mind before.

I see the psp had a proper mapping system, for mapping r2 and l2.

The vita does not, it only has three available preset options, none of which I find useable.

I really hope the implement the same manual control mapping system that the psp had.

Or I will probably not end up using this feature, that was in feed the selling point for me.

Best news I've heard all day! I have a few PSone Classics already on my PS3 that I can't wait to play on my Vita. I am now going to purchase some more PSone games just so I can experience them on the go. Xenogears, Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve here I come!

Well...that'll rather depend on which games work on it, eh? It's been previously confirmed that they have no intention to dump the ENTIRE PS1 Classics backlog onto the Vita's store. So look forward to the same agonizingly slow drizzle we're already getting for PSP games.

Also...yeah, it's short on buttons. I wouldn't play any game that has uses for L2 and R2 on the Vita for that very reason, same as I did with the PSP. Nothing wrong with playing these games on the PS3 anyway, IMO.

Harvest Moon. I'm going to play the heck out of Harvest Moon.

Can't wait! I've got FFVII, FFIX and Xenogears just waiting to move over to my Vita when they're available to do so. Also, Vagrant Story and a bunch of others. My PSN wallet is going to be looking mighty empty.
