Sony Trademarks Rain Ahead of GamesCom

Here’s a juicy tidbit to set you up for the day: Sony is working on a project called Rain. The platform holder registered a trademark for the mysterious title in North America last week – just days ahead of its GamesCom press conference.

The title is unlikely to be associated with Heavy Rain, primarily due to the timing of the registration. A new PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita title seems much more likely.

Even more excitingly, eagle eyed scouts have uncovered a short GIF which shows a mysterious PlayStation title in action. The animated image depicts a young woman tussling with two armed guards in the rain while PlayStation symbols appear on the screen.
