Dragon’s Dogma was a pretty big success for Capcom in Japan, so it’s perhaps unsurprising that it has lined up a major expansion for release next year. The pack – dubbed Dark Arisen – will allow players to carry over their save data from the original game. And that, unfortunately, is pretty much everything we know.
In the meantime, dragon slayers will be able to feast on two new free DLC packs for the mythical beast slaying simulator. Speedrun will challenge players to play through the single-player campaign as quickly as possible, earning additional in-game equipment for hitting specific times. Meanwhile, Hard mode will make enemies significantly more difficult to beat, but will reward players with better goodies for their efforts.
There's a trailer for the new expansion embedded below. Are you interested in playing more Dragon's Dogma?
