Beyond last weekend’s reveal, Konami has been frustratingly quiet about Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes – but it has released a handful of high-definition screenshots for you to pore over. Unlike the sub-par captures available elsewhere, these are direct-feed – allowing you to see every crinkle on protagonist Snake’s lived-in face.
The game is running on Kojima Productions' new Fox Engine technology, which looks every bit as stunning as publisher Konami hyped. There's no word on a release date for Ground Zeroes just yet, but creator Hideo Kojima has teased that the title's targeting current generation consoles. We don't believe him.

Oh man, so excited about this
If only the screenshots weren't so small, then maybe I would be more excited
Is kojima pulling a fast one on this? Most on the net are saying if this is big boss, then yhe game has an eighties setting. To me though, the boss looks abot the same as mgs4. And last time i checked they didnt half holographic wrist displays in the eighties did they?
Considering Chico doesn't look that much older compared to PW (1974)... Unless there is time travel involved it's safe to assume that it's set in the late 70s/early 80s.
I've always just chalked it up to tech progressing much faster in the MGS unverse. We certainly didn't have cloaking devices back when MGS 1 takes place, or now for that matter.
I really hope this game is set for Summer 2013 at the latest.
